Weekly Weak Knees
Something about such a subtle use of animated gifs is downright subversive, don’t you think?

I loved the quote in this post about being productive and learning how to plan how much you can accomplish in a week

Inspiring moments from Milan Fashion week, and yet another reason that I secretly want grey hair.

I love it so much when my geeky and craft sides can meet, and I really feel like completing and subsequently being able to gaze at a Firefly cross stitch would make my life a whole new kind of wonderful.

“If you told little Angie she’d once love tea, she’d make a disgusted face and say ”nu-uh!”
And if you told 20-year-old Angie that SHE’D love tea, she would have said ”no way!”
But here I am, 21-year-old Angie and I’ve got to admit, I now have quite a love for tea. Especially loose tea in powerful fruity flavors. But alas, this isn’t about tea. This is about these gorgeous prints from nevedobson on Etsy! I would love to have them in my home.”

I’ve recently discovered Pop Culture Happy Hour, which is part of the NPR Culturetopia podcast that you can subscribe to on iTunes. It’s unrelentingly relatable and focuses on internet memes, reality tv and what’s going on now in pop culture. I love it because they have the best episode themes and their “Indefensible Positions” episode about hating the Golden Girls, Twin Peaks and the ending of Lost is just all kinds of hilarious.

This illustration, called The Ladies Adventure, is one of my favourites. It’s one part collection, one part story and has a vaguely Wes Anderson quality to it. I feel like if I had these things an adventure would be bound to happen, don’t you?

FIREFLY CROSS STITCH. Well, I didn’t think it was possible, but that just made my Wednesday even BETTER.
That Firefly cross stitch is amazing!
I love the idea of the new Weekly Week Knees! I think it’s great that you take ideas from other people too as the variety of it is amazing!
I wanted to ask about the font you are using in the WWK logo (the smaller one in the bottom) – what is its name? I’ve already seen in on one othe blog but couldn’t find it anywhere.. Thank you! xx
love this collection…the pixel people are all kinds of fabulous…have gone and bought about 6 to get stitching on for birthday presents! tatum xx
Love that first animated one. At first I was like wait, what?! Then i watched it again and again and there’s something so nice and calming about it. :)
I seriously want to learn badly how does From Me to You makes those TRULY awesome gifs. Those are the coolest ever.
I love the second part on organization. I’m going to go read it now!
Plus did you blog layout change? Looks wonderful.
OOOPS I just realized you might not understand the word”lank” it’s slang. In South Africa, it’s literally translated from the afrikaans language meaning “long”, its used to kind of mean “much” and sort of like “big time”. in case you want to use it in the future it’s pronounced as its spelt. And its used mostly by the surfers here, but if you were in high school from 2001 then its most likely that you use it too (if you’re from south africa)
I love this – I think that doing the WWK submission style has really proved to be a great idea!! It’s a variety of things but all nicely curated by you with your good taste :D I love it!!
That gif is blowing me away with it’s subtle perfection. I am soo inspired to try that…. I just need to figure out how the heck to make a gif. HAH. :) xoxoooxxo meg
Oh my word! I am in love with this post. I looove the variety and different tastes. I was very skeptical but Kyla it’s AMAZING! GREAT first post RE: Weekly Weak Knees… may be one day I’ll contribute too. It’s just I’m more of a reader… but there’s bound to be something one day. Very cool post. I’m lank impressed!
Yay, so glad that tea print got itself a spot! ;) I love everything hear. Jen and I just started watching Firefly, so obviously I LOVE that stitch. And that gif is so so charming. Has a warm and cozy feel!
Such a beautiful collection. I like this interactive Weekly Weak Knees. It’s a lot more varied than the round-ups curated by just one person.
That’s what I’m hoping for! Next week I’m going to try to focus on blog posts by friends, so it’ll be a mix of neat things and beautiful writing from girls I follow. I’m excited to see how it turns out :)
