Weekly Weak Knees

Weekly Weak Knees

This habit change cheatsheet is a guide to changing yourself that seems like it could be a triple distilled kind of effective. I’ve just started using it and it’s simple enough that I think it’s going to work perfectly for me.

I have such a weakness for european street style, and Tiina’s outfit is perfectly over the top in away that makes me want to play dress up before our cold weather is entirely gone. Confession: I wish I was from Finland or Sweden so I could have extra vowels in my name. Doesn’t Kyylä have a nice look to it?

I stumbled onto the song Ford Mustang by Serge Gainsbourg last week, and I’m in love! He produced music from 1958 – 1987 and the mix of French and English is perfect in my books. I’ve never heard the phrase “ford mustang” said with more dramatic emphasis, it transforms to practically become a tango.

It’s always charming and exciting to get a peek inside of people’s collections, and even nicer when they’re displayed so beautifully.

The Winnipeg City Guide featured on Design*Sponge was beautifully curated by my neighbour and blog friend, Lenore of Lather, Write, Repeat. If you came to visit me my top restaurants to take you to would be Eat! BistroBoon BurgerBistro 7 1/4 and Cake-ology, and the shops we’d have to visit would be Sew DandeeInto the MusicHoopersFor Space Sake and Silver Lotus! Road trip? :)

Irina Werning‘s Back To The Future photography project is a fascinating and clever re-staging of family portraits. I can only picture the process of getting just the right expressions from everyone.

This newly discovered home movie at Disneyland from 1956 was shot on 16mm Kodachrome film, and includes the video’s uploader’s grandmother meeting Walt Disney! I’m completely fascinated by old home movies, and the score is so charming that everything about this makes me want to film my next trip to Disneyworld. After time traveling to 1956, obviously.

Danielle Thompson has such great style, and the way she shows off her Coat of Many Complements is a great use of colour and typography. Never mind the coat! Beautifully pulled together, no wonder this is also the post of many complements :)
