Weekly Weak Knees
This post about crediting photos properly, because it effects people’s livelihoods is so important and well written. Every now and then I use a source like we heart it to find dreamy photos, and sometimes I use ones where there’s no original credit listed. I’v thought about it and decided that I’m never going to use another photo on this blog when I can’t find a credit to the original source- and I hope you’ll take the challenge too!
I love these non-traditional lockets! This reminds me of the first science fiction film called
“Le voyage dans la lune” and as a total classic movie geek I really want one!
Breaking News: Kate Spade Makes Pretty Things + I’m a sucker for old fashioned 3D glasses! I’m counting down the days until my contract is up so I can upgrade from my original iPhone to one that’s faster, and when that day comes I’ll need this.
This photo blows me away! One of my best friends & I are planning matching tattoos for the summer and we’ve been considering getting paper airplanes (I secretly want a collection of origami tattoos). This reminded me of her the moment I saw it and got me so excited for the coming summer!
I’m collecting images of girls with slightly longer short hair than I have in an effort to stay inspired while my hair is growing out, and this is my dream hair right now! Also, possibly my dream every day outfit.
One Million Short Stories is a print that celebrates all of our stories!
It reminded me of all the lovely residents of BlogLand that I know and have yet to meet.
And I’m not a big talk show person, but the politics major in my has been worried about the protests in the midwest
…and then Jimmy Fallon decided to slow jam the news about it! I can’t help but love this :)
(It shows an annoying ad before the video shows up, but it’s worth waiting for!)
Hope you’re having a beautiful weekend!
I LOVE the lockets!
I love the paper airplane picture. Its completely dreamy.
You find the most precious little treasures! I love that Kate Spade case. I wonder if they have some for Droids?
Those lockets are fabulous, I WANT one!!
that is one of the reason I like pinterest way more than tumblr: the ever so elusive photo credit
those are such beautiful links/images, indeed make up for a snowy Sunday
oh and I am also day dreaming of origami tattoos
I’m totally with you! I’ve been exploring Tumblr and it’s fun, but since getting totally addicted to pinterest I definitely see what you mean!
I must have that locket!!! :O I am such an astronomy geek!!! And I love, love, love the moon. Such pretty, cute, gorgeous things!!!
I always try to credit and link back to photo sources on my blog. I’m going to make a point to try even harder. :)
I absolutely love the paper airplanes photo! It’s so pretty. ♥
The origami tattoos sound AWESOME! I love it :)
And you would look great with that hair!
I’d love to see origami tattoos–how fun!
Crediting photos is SO, SO, SO important! It’s very frustrating to see your work somewhere uncredited, and quite a hassle to have it taken down.
You make such a good point about crediting photos. I’m a little embarrassed to admit that I usually just credit weheartit.com – I never thought about the fact that that is not an original source. But from now on I’m taking your challenge to only use original sources! Thanks for the tip :)
(Love your blog, by the way!)
In the words of Barney (HIMYM)…Challenge accepted!!!
Also, I’m with you on the love for origami tattoos. I’m getting a paper crane in the near future!

hello kyla!
i have been using tineye.com (a reverse image search) to help me find original sources for proper credit. it allows you to upload an image + search for places it lives on the web, often allowing you to track down the source. it also allows you to find where your work has been reposted. it doesn’t always lead me to a source, but it’s still a useful cool tool.
p.s. the moon locket is beautiful! :)
Haha, slow jamming the news FTW (^_^) Made me smile!
Oh my goodness! Cutest phone case I have ever seen. Love love love.
