Weekly Weak Knees
I think that if I had this little guy I think the change of seasons would be so much easier to bear!
Also, I would name him Frederick. Or Joshua. And probably involve him in most of my photos.
I love this whimsical twist on bow ties, and they even have a mid century collection! I would love to wear these but I would look like a total jerk with them on. As soon as I saw them I thought of Katrina– can’t you just picture her with Taco and Chico on either side… all of them wearing bow ties? I die!

Moorea is an incredibly talented artist & designer who I’m lucky to call my friend, and this post of outtakes from her etsy shoot is just amazing! I love her goofiness and exuberance, and willingness to be herself. She’s a high quality dame ;)
Pantone announced their Fall Colour Forecast– I love how they’ve described it as being inspired by old hollywood, cityscapes & a balance of femininity and masculinity, textures and colours. It’s sunset meets seascape & I’m excited to see how these start surfacing in design.
Enough said! I think I need this for my kitchen, and I wish I could have it as an iPhone wallpaper.
This outfit just screams “I wish I could dress like this!” to me. The orange nail polish, floral shorts and chevron bracelet?
How does she pull this off?? Does she give seminars on developing this superpower for your own??
I have so many questions.
I found an amazing vintage photobooth pool on flickr while browsing Miss Modish & this one is my absolute favourite-
I love how the mom is out of focus and her daughter’s expression is perfectly captured.
I can’t describe it, but something about it just bowls me over- it’s perfectly undone!
Hope you have a beautiful Saturday!
your blog is so cute and special! i’m already in love with it!
I am a little obsessed with mustard and navy at the moment. I thought that was just a colour ‘growth’ in my brain but now I wonder if I’ve been subconsciously brainwashed by new colour trends! Eek!
That whale kleenex holder is sooo adorable! It would be perfect for a kiddo’s bathroom or something like that. You always find the cutest things!
Awesome finds!! :) I need that little whale, too. Goodness, so cute!!
“Frederick” is so cute. I wish I had one..
I LOVE that tissue box! I don’t blame you for wanting to include it in most of your photos.
Also, that girl has amazing style. I wish I was bold enough to dress like that!
I love Fredrick! He is such a doll. ha! ^.^
xo.
I am totally in love with Fredrick {he’s too cute!} and Pantone’s beautiful 2011 fall colors. :)
ps. I am new to your lovely blog. Kinsey at soulBACON directed me here and boy am I ever glad she did. ♥
Cute finds! I think the whale would be a good way to help Kale get over his whale phobia. Plus, he has a nasty cold right now so maybe also his nose blowing phobia.
Oh my gosh the whale!!! I just added it to my favorites on Etsy – LOVE!
cuuute aw thanks for including me love :) you are the sweetest.

that bake a cake poster is so cute…I love that!
Oh my goodness WHALE! So cute.
What a wonderful photo.
that photo…that moment is perfectly captured…so simple and candid. i sort of think photos like this are lost today with our ability to instantly delete something that doesn’t turn out exactly how we want it. i have a tin of my grandmother’s photos and i love how they are so imperfectly perfect. people are out of focus, or blurry as they are caught {not on purpose} in mid-movement, nothing is perfectly centered or perfectly not-centered, lighting is way off. there’s a photographic innocence about them that is comforting. cake baking…always a good fallback. happy weekend!
love all of those picks my lady! especially the whale in the top picture. so cute!
LOVE the photobooth picture. I think it would be so fun to build up a collection of these over the years and then have a wall display or something :)
Love the look from Face Hunter – its gorgeous! Especially the orange nail polish. Swoon :)
happy weekend to you too!
What a lovely selection. The black-and-white photo is simply stunning! The outfit is so beautiful–the pieces shouldn’t work, but they really do and I think part of that is confidence. That print needs to be tattooed on my hands {maybe not, that would hurt} because cake does make everything better. The Autumn colour palette is luscious! Moorea’s outtakes have made me laugh and the rest of her site is a delight. Those bow-ties are adorable, as is the whale tissue box.
Thanks for sharing!
