After months of dedicated growing out the sides of my super short pompadour cut (flash back!!) I’ve made a discovery- my hair is long enough to use a curling iron on! It’s been long enough to wrap around a curling iron for some time, but I couldn’t make it an every day choice without thoroughly burning myself when I attempted it… until now!

It’s unseasonably, beautifully warm in Winnipeg right now but it’s still snowy and icy- enough to need a winter boot. Every winter I buy a pair of cute boots and by the spring salt stains and slush has absolutely ruined them, no matter how many different waterproofing products I use. It’s the worst! This year I decided to try my hardest to find something colourful, fashionable and durable. And I have good news…

Ive finally found my perfect winter shoe!!!

I just discovered Native Shoes and as soon as I saw their colours features I was hooked. Their shoes are vegan, washable, water resistant, odor resistant, shock absorbent in a way I cant really describe unless you wear them (ah-maaazing) and are crazy vivid and colourful. And they have so many colours styles! Mine are a Fitzsimmons in Scuba Green, the exact shade of my most favourite teal.

They did a collaboration with Marc Jacobs this fall are one of my favourite purchases in the past year (already) and I needed to pass on the word. I can’t wait to get a super vivid colour in a summer style that I can wear hard trust to not fall apart on me. At last!

Oh- and because I can’t do any shoot without a healthy dose of laughter & antics I had to share a quick outtake :)
