Secret Perks
This is a fact that I’ve been enjoying this weekend- tonight I’m driving out to the country for my second Thanksgiving dinner of the weekend, and I love that there’s still American Thanksgiving to look forward to!
I hope you’re feeling happy, thankful & inspired today, even if you’re not having a big turkey dinner- or tofurkey in my case! If you’re having a rough start to the week, please consider yourself an adopted Canadian for the day & treat yourself to a pumpkin spice latte :)
Such a sweet little post. I adore the leaf! Wish they were that yellow here! XO
Hope you had a GREAT thanksgiving! I missed it again due to running (third year in a row) but last year I made a big dinner on the American thanksgiving since I missed the Canadian one. Might do that again this year too :)
This little post was exactly what I needed! I am going to grab all my Canadian friends (a whole 1!) and get a pumpkin spice latte.
A great reason to be twice as grateful! :)
Canadians totally have it right on this one, Thanksgiving should be in October. Seriously, do you think the pilgrims celebrated Thanksgiving while it was snowing outside in late November here in MA? …no.
I did make a pretty rad bread pudding with apple peels pureed with buttermilk this weekend–yum. Harvesttime, I love you. :)
Double Thanksgivings? I wish I was a Canadamerican.
You’re definitely lucky! Thanksgiving is a top favorite holiday of mine for sure. :)
Hope you enjoy them!
I love Thanksgiving and that’s awesome you get more than one celebration! :) Hope you had a wonderful one. I also love that leaf photo, so pretty.
My cousin who is dual does that too! When we were visiting her last month, she actually made Thanksgiving dinner because she (like us) misses the big family dinners we had as children. It was wonderful.
Happy Thanksgiving, Kyla!
I hope you had/have a great thanksgiving dinner! We stuffed ourselves last night and today are feeling very thankful for the holiday/lazy day! Newfound respect for all the grandmas out there who host these things all the time without help or a potluck!
Happy Thanksgiving! There are many wonderful things about England, but we’re not known for our parties. There’s no Thanksgiving here, but we do have Guy Fawkes/Bonfire Night on 5th November, with lots of sausage and mash, fireworks, and burning Guy Fawkes. It’s good fun!
Happy Thanksgiving :D
Ahh this is so cute! I’m excited for Thanksgiving dinner tonight as well, and can’t wait for turkey! Oh wait… your family’s vegetarian, or are they? You did say there’d be turkey, right???
My mom and I are the only vegetarians- there will definitely be turkey for you, miss ;)
Happy Thanksgiving! I made an apple pie last night “just because”…I must be wanting to be an adopted Canadian today as well!
Haha you’re so cute Kyla! Happy Thanksgiving, hope you’re enjoying this lovely long weekend :)
I had so much tofurky with cranberry sauce my guts exploded. (hyperbole)
You ARE lucky! I can’t imagine. So many yummies, mmmm! I love our Thanksgiving dinner, especially my favorite part (food wise): LEFTOVERS!!! <3
