Out of Hiding
News Flash: I’m still here! :)
This week I took an unintended three days off from posting in the first time in so long I can’t remember- I think it’s been over a year! Blogging is so much a part of my life and passion that it was so strange to take a mini-holiday but I’m feeling rested up, refreshed and excited to tackle it with new energy. Instead of Weekly Weak Knees, today I’m going to show you a little of what I’ve been up to this week…
In the most adorable prescription of all time, this week Mal’s elbow got hurt and along with a little medication the vet suggested that we try having him wear shirts until it heals up! He fits toddler clothes, including this tiny Browns jersey from Jesse’s mom- Mal knows where his American family’s roots are :)
I didn’t think it was possible, but he’s even cuter in clothing. This could become a problem.
Proof that I shot & developed film for my Analog 52 project, it was so much fun to do photoshoots around the city!
We’ve been enjoying the spring melt- it’s still not warm enough to be without your jacket, but we’re on our way! It’s so nice to be able to walk the dogs longer and feel the sun growing stronger. I feel like summer is just around the corner and I can’t wait! The dogs have been so amazing lately- we’ve even stopped kenneling them at night so they’re always roaming the house now, and we’ve only had one incident where Ash started playing with a ball of my wool like he was a kitten, and since then my craft room has been safe and sound :)
I’ve been working super hard but I’m getting so much better at learning how to balance work and play. I’m getting to bed early, making lots of time for Jesse, friends & family and am trying to give myself time to explore what this new life of working for myself can be! With spring around the corner I’m starting to work out regularly and I’m eating so much better than before- while making time on the weekends for cinnamon buns a tea. Balance in its self is a bit of a balancing act, but I’m learning everyday and it feels amazing :)
How have you been doing?
Your photography is so beautiful! And the dog in the shirt – seriously one of the cutest things I’ve ever seen. :)
the pic of your pup is so adorable. we had our spring melt happening too – and then this morning it snowed! i’m hoping it will stick long enough to take our dogs ski-jouring. we have to kennel ours when we aren’t home during the day, which bums me out….but there was a “couch” incident. i’ve been trying to leave them out little bits at a time.
Oh my dear lord. Mal is sooooo adorable in that shirt!!! I think this is one of my favourite posts of yours lately. I love seeing little bits of what you get up to (not creepy – not creepy) and love your pictures :)
Omg – he looks so cute in clothes! he he. :) And yay for balance, too! I’m still struggling with work-at-home balance, but it feels so good to be taking steps. :)
AHAHAHA! DOG IN A SHIRT!
We got our bulldog neutered fairly recently and the vet also suggested if he seems to want to scratch his stitches then throw a t-shirt on him. My eyes must have lit right up at the thought, because my boyfriend just laughed at me. He never ended up bothering his stitches so I had no excuse. Darn it. But here’s a picture of him in a shirt anyway, just for fun.

I actually just burst out laughing when I saw that picture of Mal. He looks like a little person!
I love that Mal is representing Ohio. Really love. =)
LOL at Mal!!! Poor little guy. He looks super cute and cozy though ;) We had a yucky week of rain but as of today, the weather report expects sun in the HIGH 70’s next week, YIPPEE!
This is so cute. Beautiful photographs.
Normally I am not a fan of puppies in clothes, but the fact that this if for medical reasons it’s flipping adorable!
What kind of dog is mal? He looks soooooo much like Eisley in that photo. It’s uncanny. We’re on the search to figure out what mix of breeds she is since she was a rescue. :)
OMG, that picture of Mal is priceless! Like maybe he should be the team mascot or something. Except he’s black… hmm.. still, it could work!
I hope you enjoyed your little break – a person has to step away from time to time. I am posting way less these days… And not a whole lot of substance…
Oh my goodness, that picture is ADORABLE!!! I love cute animals in cute clothing!!!
I just lost my job last week, but I’m definitely not heartbroken over it. While I am worried about money, I find this is the perfect time to find my dream job! So here’s to that!
Pup in sweater = most adorable thing EVER!
No Jets jersey?
I’m shocked :P
Oh Kyla, I miss your face. But the sweater’d dog certainly helps. :)
looooove your pup. i hope his elbow heals up!
OMG! I am DYING over that photo of Mal! He just looks so calm and relaxed and like he’s saying, “Yeah? What of it?!” Tehehe. That photo made my day. :)
Such an adorable dog!!! I have 4 cats and I couldn’t Imagine wrangling them into clothes! I am soo glad we don’t have snow on the ground anymore! How can you deal with it
Also I’m doing fantastic, thanks for asking.
i’m excited for spring too! it’s been a long winter, so i’m happy to see the sun stick around a little bit longer every single day :) looking forward to seeing you again!
I’m glad your back…missed your posts!
That is the sweetest puppy pic..what a a great idea/way to keep everything covered up until it is healed!
The sun IS wonderful this weekend..it is so warm & bright..makes me happy :)
This weekend is filled with famiy & friends, lunches/dinners & a celebration, a tattoo appt, and accomplishing a few fun & quick mini goals I set for myself earlier this week..I am loving life right now!
Have a great day :)
Your vet prescribed clothes for your dog? That’s too perfect :D Chloe has a pink dress she wears every now and then, and she fits into Topher’s hamburger costume from last Halloween – but I can only dress her up when my husband isn’t home!
That is the most adorable picture I’ve ever seen!!
Oh. My. Goodness! Mal is too adorable in that sweater. I showed my sister and she said, “I can see him wearing those old time leather football helmets!” I think she’s right!
I’ve been getting my personal life in order and having so much fun now that I have spare time.
So glad to hear you had fun!
That expression! Your pup just looks so… distinguished!
*waves* hi! I’ve missed your posts :) So glad that things are well and I pretty much can’t get over how adorable that photo of Mal is. Omg. So cute – the clothes thing COULD be a problem ;) I used to have a little hoodie that I put Webster in and he was SO CUTE in it, it was hilarious.
Oh my gosh, the picture of Mal is so silly and fantastic and I want to see more!!
Oh sigh, I really think your blog should just be daily photos of the pups. In sweaters. And perhaps a tie. To stay dignified.
I second this! That picture is ADORABLE!
