Mod Tarot
Jordan Clarke is “A mish-mash of artist, illustrator and designer. Fascinated by all things dark, whimsical and vintage her work is characterized by a collision of Victorian vignettes, rockabilly pin-ups, religious iconography, tattooing, 20th century circus and fairground lore, and a slight obsession with El Dia De Los Muertos.” and I love her modern, mixed media take on tarot cards.
I’ve had one (sadly underwhelming) tarot card reading but I love the idea that there’s meaning and hidden symbols in every day life, just waiting to be uncovered. No matter what you think about tarot, I think that any deck of cards would be improved if it was designed by Jordan, don’t you?
I love these cards! I enjoy the picture on the tower card it gives it that monty python kind of feel to it!
Amazing!
These cards are beautiful! I have never had my cards read either, but I’m always really interested to hear about stuff like that. It’s fascinating!
Oh man! Oh man! Oh man! I WANT those tarot cards!!
I totally covet these :) I’ve somehow started collecting Tarot cards, though I really know nothing about “Tarot proper.” The gorgeous art, and the unique stylings of the individual creators, are so fun to compare and stare at and love. This might definitely need to be added to my collection.
Those are rad! I’m not that into Tarot Cards but those are so fun!

I absolutely love tarot card artwork, but I’m the most drawn to the classic Rider-Waite deck. There’s just something about them that feels so simple and traditional and mystical. It’s been a long-standing goal of mine to create a tarot deck myself but it’s a pretty daunting project- there are SO many of them! Thanks for featuring this…I’m off to check out her site, especially after seeing a lot of her favorite inspirations are the same as mine!
Oh wow, those are so fun!!! My favorite deck of tarot cards ever is The Halloween Tarot. It’s a bright tarot deck, with each card based around a (Halloween) monster and Halloween scenes. It’s the only tarot deck that I have ever felt like a complete natural with and my readings have been spot on every time – for myself and for others!
I would love a collection of tarot – they really are so beautiful. I have also wanted to create my own for a long, long time!
Those are fabulous. I’m a big fan of the artwork on a lot of Tarot decks, actually. There are some wonderful illustrators that make them!
