House Love: Soaker Tub
When we first bought the house I wasn’t sure about not having a stand up shower. I was very enthusiastic about the soaker tub, but the lack of a full shower….it left me skeptical.
But the moment I stepped into the bathroom after we bought the house, I was in love.
There is nothing that slows me down more than slipping into this big old fashioned tub to wake up in the morning when the floors are still cold, or that will cool me down to a human temperature in the evenings when the house is sweltering hot.
Now if I could just stop stalking $400 tub mounted hand shower faucets on vintagetub.com then I’d really be set…
That tub looks fantastic! I love tubs.
Beautiful bathtub! We went to a house with no shower and it was kind of a dealbreaker. Their tub wasn’t nice enough to make up for the no shower. Plus it didn’t have a kitchen. I think that played a role in our decision too.
What a gorgeous bathtub! Loving the paint colour by the way.And the walls are so smooth (after two days of painting textured wallpaper I’m dreaming of smooth walls!).
God I love those tubs. They are so gorgeous. A woman I worked with actually had 4 in an old house they bought and made one a ridiculously high table.
Your tub looks like it’s in great shape. That’s worthy of celebration!
Oh! I’m so jealous!
Oh my goodness. You should do whatever you can to get one of those shower faucets. They are gorgeous!!!
