Handmade 2012 Planners
One of my favourite things about the start of the new year is getting inspired and setting intentions- and then turning all my intentions into concrete plans. This year I’m doing all my dreaming and brainstorming this week, so I’ve been up to my elbows in ideas all week- it’s so energizing! Do you have any rituals for starting the year off with inspiration and intention?

I have the weekly planner by MissMegShop. It’s absolutely great and very useful.
I did a blog post/review that you can see here http://kindofastyleblog.blogspot.com.au/2012/12/my-2013-diary.html
Hi,
I know I’m quite late to the game but thank you so much for featuring my planners! I also offer a blank version now, as well as financial year planners if anyone is interested.
Great post!
Thanks,

Hi Kyla,
Thanks for the feature!!
I know it was published like 2 months ago and I only discovered it today! It still made our day nevertheless!!!
Kricia
I’m so glad you guys liked it! Your work is gorgeous & my readers loved it :)
i need four different notebooks to hold my life! haha. one for planning, one for journaling, one for yoga class prep, and i really want to start one of those “happy place” journals this year. you know, where you write only the good things that have happened to you? seems like a good idea. i can totes be a “brood about the bad” type of person, haha. this year feels like its going to be a good journaling year for me :)
I love the look of that yellow planner! ♥
I love love love calendars, but can’t quite seem to get used to using a planner. Weird!
I need one of these for sure! Or a day planner.
Love the planners! I’ve been eyeing this desktop calender for the new year.

Thank you for the links ;) I love calendars!
So. Perfect.
I was trying to find the perfect planner the other day and I was overwhelmed with etsy. I promised myself not to buy a commercial one from B&N again this year, so thanks for sharing these!
It can be hard to find the perfect planner, can’t it? I find that searching Etsy can be easier when you include a few of the things that you love about planners so you can eliminate some of the ones that won’t work for you. From my experience, sellers are really specific about the binding & cover styles in their listings so those can be the easiest things to focus on. If I search Etsy for “saddle stitch illustrated planners” I seem to find a lot more that I love than just searching 2012 planners. Hope that helps!
Those are some gorgeous planners! I wound up with one from Laurel Denise for this year and I am LOVING it so far!
I just googled these and they look so cool & flexible, Mandi! I love when someone takes a design centered approach to creating something truly useful and imaginative, and her planners are so tempting to me… even though my planning needs are currently met!
Aren’t they clever?! I am in awe of how the design solved the problem of wanting to see a month/day/to-do view of your calendar all at the same time, side-by-side. I’ve never seen anything quite like it. I’m already so hooked that I’m hoping they’re planning to make them again in 2013, because I’m fearing I’ll be lost without it!
I love planners. This year though, I just bought a journal/sketchbook, and decided to use my phone to keep up with appts and dates, and use my journal for ideas, grocery lists, etc.
I agree with nova… I want that last journal! It has a very Lotta Jansdotter kind of feel to it.
This year, I decided to throw cheesiness to the wind and actually make myself an inspiration board for the coming year! Here’s to hoping it works!
THAT LAST ONE. I love the ones you fill in yourself. UUUGH I want it.
I like to spend all of December working on my goals for the next year and writing them all out on the big whiteboard in my bedroom.
I’m the exact same way, Sarah- I love taking my time with planning and making it visual! It’s so motivating. Do you re-visit your goals through the year, or have any tricks for staying on track?
I’m a crazy goal maker, so I have tons of tricks :) I have a bunch of posts if you care to browse http://sillygrrl.com/tag/achieving-goals/ I definitely re-visit and take stock of what I’m working on every month. I figure out what is moving me toward my goal and see how I can expand on that and try to fix the things that aren’t working. And sometimes I just decide I’m not loving the goal at all, erase it, and move on to something else.
Oh this is perfect I have been searching for the perfect planner! Thanks Kyla!
I love calendars and planners! I have three calendars and two planners on my desk at work – it may be a bit much but they were all too pretty to pass up :)
It sounds like we have the same enthusiasm about planners & calendars, Holly! My faves are letterpress, month at a glance desk calendars. So beautiful! I can never pass them by :)
I’ve been in search of a new planner! Thanks for sharing! These are all really lovely! <3
