Go Out There And Do It
Is there something you wish was part of your life, or that you were brave enough to take on? The trouble is you only get those experiences and bravery when you reach for them!
It’s not comfortable because learning to use your wings for the first time uses new, different muscles. You’re going to come out with a few scrapes and bruises, but soon you’ll be able to soar on your own strength.
That one thing in the back of your mind that feels to scary to step toward? Instead of looking at how big it is, find what the one next step toward it would be. And then take it!
I bet you’ll survive, even if you feel uncertain and wobbly at first. You’re marvelously resilient like that xo

Beautiful poster/quote, and true idea. It’s lovely to read about it, and hopefully one day I will believe it more than not… :-)
Oh, Kyla. Did you know that I found your blog just shy of two years ago? It was then that you became a role model. Funny how we can just put people we don’t know in that position, isn’t it? But them’s the brakes, you were being kindhearted and fiercely honest and dropped what wasn’t working in order to embrace would could work for you. You didn’t have it all figured out, but you knew that waking up each day and trying was going to be worth it by the time you shut your eyes again that night. Two years later, completely unexpectedly (but, maybe not?) I’m on a new venture of total freelance and independence and I have you to thank. Thank you for sharing your journey, for continuing to show up and be seen, even on the bad days when blogging and inspiring others is not at the top of your list. You’re a hell of a girl. Mad love, lady <3
Holy, Jessica. This made my whole week! Thank you so much for sharing your kind words. I’m honoured to be part of your story in some small way – please consider this a tackle hug for your bravery & independence :)
So. This is exactly the little pick-me-up I needed today. Hooray! Thanks, lady.
I love the whole look and feel of your page! So glad I found it.
Nice one Kyla. We’re training in Montreal with a bunch of people who are way better than us. It’s humbling and awesome and so so so painful.
Good timing!
Oh my gosh, I can imagine. And with how intense the physical training is… I’m pretty sure I can’t even envision how wild that experience must be. You and Kim are so talented and have so much heart. I find it hard to remember that just because it doesn’t feel incredible (or even good) all the time, that doesn’t mean that I’m not doing exactly what I should be. You’ve got this!
Love this! Great Pep Talk, thank you tons!!! Xo!
Thanks for the encouraging post, friend. My ‘go out there and do it’ conquest is finding a new job back home. I am terrified that I won’t find something and will be stuck here in Charlotte longer than I can handle, but I am trying to believe that things will come together for me…
I’m wildly biased on this, but I feel like you’re going to find something just amazing that will bring you back to the Minneapolis area. It seems so do-able! Keep reaching, hun! It’s worth it.
