Fridays are for…vegas!
Vegas is such an amazing echo of old fashioned glamour and possibility…
This weekend, the unofficial meet up for Twenty Something Bloggers (& beyond) is happening in Las Vegas- to everyone who’s going have an amazing time.
I went last year and I love meeting bloggers, but Vegas surprised me! After three days I felt like I’d taken up smoking- no matter how good casino ventilation is, I was losing my voice from a combination of laughing & second hand smoke by the end. I guess that “well worn” feeling is just meant to be part of the charm ;)
Have you ever been to Las Vegas? What about a blogger meet up?
I’d love to hear what you thought about them!
ps – Thanks to lots of wifi I’m updating twitter a little while we’re on the road – you can check it out here if you want a sneak peak!
the last time i was in vegas was years ago. i’ve met bloggers before, but it would be fun to check out the sin city blogger meetup some time. i was following the twitter feeds, and it sounded like a blast.
i might be driving through vegas next weekend.

what a cute blog! love it! found you on freckled nest :-)
I have never been to a blogger meetup but I went to Vegas over Spring Break and I need to post about it I guess (I never did). It literally changed my life. I had the most fun / craziest time in my life, ever. I can’t wait to go back.

Hi! This is my first time to your blog and I think it is really great. I love your four pots project. I am not a huge fan of vegas but I did get married there so its not all bad!
I LOVE the blog! Keep up the posts…especially the Vegas one. That’s the best!
I really want to go to a blogger meet up some day. I think it would be a really cool experience. As for Vegas, it is on my to-do list. One day I plan to spontaneously hop a flight and just go! Maybe even get married.. ha ha who knows.
Best,
Hannah Katy

I’ve never been to Vegas, but I can imagine how draining it would be. I think I’d like to go just once…maybe for a day :)
Great blog by the way. I’m glad that I found it through Freckled Nest.

i’ve never been to vegas but i’ve been curious about it! i don’t know if i could handle all of the second hand smoke, though… i’m so sensitive to that stuff. :P it seems like SUCH a different, interesting place, though!

Hi! Visiting from Freckled Nest here!
I have never been to Las Vegas, but the smoke thing sounds like when I studied in Spain. Virtually everyone smokes there. I used to hate the smell of smoke, but after being in Spain for a few weeks, I just got used to it. Now that I’m back in the U.S., I’m back to really hating the smell again :P
Your blog is really cool!

Vegas is a lot of things, but it’s never felt old-fashioned to me! I’ve been once & had a couple of terrible what-happens-in-Vegas moments but would love to go back now that I’m older & hopefully tamer! Hope you have a great time. <3

Hello :) Just stopping by for the giveaway on the Freckled Nest blog. I’ve really enjoyed reading your blog….Vegas? Not in years. Back then it was family friendly.

The only time I have been to Vegas was the airport because there was a storm over Phoenix and we couldn’t land, so we had to go there for fuel. So we sat on the runway for about two hours, but seeing the lights of Vegas at night from an airplane, was well worth the wait. xx

When I traveled for my job, I spent 4 months in Vegas (arrive Monday morning, leave Thursday night). I’d never been before that and haven’t been back since. Vegas exceeded my expectations (I promise you, they were low), however I don’t really have a need to ever go back.
I’ve been to a few blogger meet-ups. Everything from BlogHer to Brand About Town parties to less organized affairs. I do enjoy meeting other bloggers, however I think I do best when only getting together with one or two at a time.
Hope the rest of your trip continues to be wonderful and a happy birthday to ya this weekend!
That’s the worst part of Vegas…you pretty much feel like you’ve smoked the whole time you’re there…UGH! But I love everything else – it’s such a time to just get to play and have fun. We used to go every year for a weekend but haven’t been in quite a few years – now i want to go back :) they need to go non-smoking already :)

I love meeting bloggers and I love seeing new places, but the Vegas meetup is completely intimidating to me. I don’t do well in big groups (I tend to close up), I don’t drink or gamble, and I can’t stay up late very well. I think I’ll stick to smaller gatherings!

I’ve never been to Vegas (other than the airport) AND I’ve never done a blogger meet-up :) In fact, I’ve only ever met one “blog friend” in real life…gotta get on that :)
Have fun!

I can’t believe it was just a year ago that I finally met you, in the lobby of the Luxor. What a trip that was. Drunken Diablo’s will forever be my favorite part of that trip, I think =) At any rate, I’ve been to Vegas four times in my life and each time has been incredibly different. Hopefully I’ll be able to make it five times by this time next year!

I went to Vegas once, but I was only seventeen at the time. My aunt got married there at Caesar’s Palace (she and her husband LOVE Vegas, and they go back every anniversary), and we stayed for about a week. There were a lot of things I couldn’t take part in because I was underage, but it was still fun seeing the city in all of its glory. We even saw quite a few famous people while we were there.

I’ve never been to Vegas and I would be surprised if I ever do go… I don’t enjoy gambling and I kind of struggle to stay up late… I realize that makes me a total grandma, but oh well. Everyone says there is fanstastic people watching, but I think there are other cities that also have equally wonderful people watching, so I don’t think I am missing out. I have seen so little of the US, there are just so many other places I’d rather go first!!
But a blogger meet up does sound mighty fabulous!

Not a fan…don’t like gambling, don’t like switching between a zillion degrees and freezing…and all that water waste! I guess there are so many other places I’d rather go…
I’ve never been to Vegas and I’m not really into gambling so it’s never really been on my top list of places to go. Is it worth it?

I’m not a big gambler either, but I’m glad that I’ve been just to see it- at night the spectacle is really beautiful, and the shows were a lot of fun! I think that going with a big group of people who were on the same page as far as why they were there (to meet people mostly) really made the trip. =)
I’ve been to Vegas and I don’t think I’ll ever go back except for any potential work-related conventions. It is a crazy place, to be sure. Personally I hate gambling so I was pretty bored most of the time (went with some friends). I know lots of people who love Vegas, but it just not my thing.
I think that’s why the blogger meet up made it work for me, there was so much to do that just involved getting to know people and walking around to see the sights. It definitely changed the experience for me =)
I’ve been to Vegas twice, once when I was like 8 for a family reunion and then again when I was 18 for a cousin’s 21st birthday.
I’ve never been there and old enough to drink and gamble (though that didn’t stop me the last time I went.)
I’d like to go back again, and to go for a blogger meet up would be awesome.

It’s at times like this when I really hate living in England – I’m completely dying to go to Sin City to meet all the bloggers :( Maybe next year…
