Friday Finds are Handmade for Him no. 52
This is probably my favourite part of the year- the holidays are around the corner and if I find something perfect on Etsy I can still get it ordered in on time for Christmas! I’ve got a few pieces picked out for my family & friends, but my serious shopping has yet to begin. I’ve been trying to scheme but I’m still not sure what I’m going to get for Jesse…

Every holiday I try to buy my gifts local or from handmade & vintage sellers- it’s one time of year when everyone has a bit of a budget, so I love supporting people who will really appreciate the sales. And etsy sellers are the best! You can usually request that your gift is wrapped & have a little note included, so it’s sent straight to your friends who are far and wide.
This is definitely my favorite time of year to browse Etsy for gifts! I always have fun looking for something for my husband, too. Usually I just search for keywords like dinosaur, bicycle, robot (and combinations of those things) and see where that leads me. It’s a good system!! :)
I love these, I wish I had a boyfriend to buy all this for.
now that i’m living in a new city that has such vibrant local shopping districts, i’m definitely going to go mostly-local/handmade this year. these are some great finds!

I”m trying to make this years gifts all by myself. I’ve got most of them planned but am totally stumped on my dad’s. He is the trickiest one every year, because he has everything and never wants anything, haha!
This selection of stuff for your man is awesome. The skateboard stool is especially cool.
I think I might try Etsy this year. Or at least,make ‘dessert’ gifts. :)

I find it so difficult to buy presents for guys. Every year it’s the same. I think I’ll be giving etsy a go this year. I’ve just starting making and selling my own cufflinks (I won’t spam) and I’m enjoying the etsy response so far. So inspirational!

I did a handmade Christmas last year…it was wonderful though a little expensive. This year my husband wants a rifle soo won’t be buying that handmade, haha! :) Great treasury here!

Last year was the first year I bought exclusively from Etsy or independent shopkeepers in town (even if it wasn’t a handmade item, I wanted to support the store’s bottom line). It was really nice and I am planning on doing it again this year!
I was actually thinking that I want to buy all my Christmas gifts off etsy this year! That or at least at the local boutiques by me. Nice finds!
This year is definitely going to be a locally made / handmade holiday for me. I have 5 little ‘nieces’ 5-yrs old and under who are getting something handmade by me. And since my parents and sister are a little more difficult to buy for, I think I’ll be making them something as well. :-)
