Friday Finds are Fit For A Future Queen
With the royal wedding having happened today, I’m a little over all of the hype that’s been building up around it and while I didn’t wake up this morning to watch it I couldn’t resist doing a Friday Finds post on it!
I got married shortly after I started my blog and really didn’t write about my wedding planning a lot- mostly because I planned it in four months, and we had a sweet little dinner party with under thirty people. While it was perfect for us, I still love the chance to find beautiful wedding related items on etsy…

I love all the little fascinators and hats- I think to quell my wedding fantasies I might have to throw a backyard garden party complete with twinkly lights, lanterns and tiny sandwiches. What do you think, should I start working on invitations?
Thank you so much for including me on your beautiful blog.
I wanna come! I’ll wear a hat! :)
Yes, you should absolutely throw a garden party!!!
And I am over the Royal Wedding as well. Too much hype, and I typically don’t like things that get that way. But, that’s not to say that I don’t congratulate them or am jealous of Kate. :)
Your picture in your sidebar totally reminds me of Julie Andrews. Adorable.
Aw, thanks Konner! I’ve been a little self conscious about that photo and you just made my day :)
that handmade necklace is too cute for words! great find!
Oh my I love that short sleeved wedding dress. It is gorgeous!
may i have the tiara and “love you to the moon and back” necklace? that would be lovely! We finally settled on less than 90 guests for our wedding and I’m so ecstatic about it :)
You should def throw that party! I am all about anythign involving lights!! Lovely.
These are great finds!!
One of the things I tell my wedding-crazy friends that if they want a big party, plan a big party that has nothing to do with getting married. Pick a date, send out invites, plan the whole shebang…get it out of your system. (or get it into your system and realize that you would be an excellent event planner). That is about 10% of the reason I planned my dinner-for-30 Midsommar celebration last year, and also why I’ll be doing it again this year…it’s just so much fun to plan a party!
Yes, you should!!!
Anyway, we’re not watching the Royal Wedding either!
Like you, we had a small wedding! I moved in August 21st and we got married on September 13th! It was just Jen, her parents and I. We didn’t have a reception, or a bridal shower or anything like that. For us, our wedding was *perfect*!!!
However, we had to get married as groom and bride, so we’re really looking forward to our hand fasting. Our hand fasting will be the big ceremony. Bridal shower, lots of planning and accessories, reception, etc. ^_^
