Early Morning at the Studio
Early morning at the studio is one of my favourite times. While the prairies might be cold in the winter, one of the things that makes it lovely & liveable is we’re absolutely drenched in the most gorgeous sunlight during the winter months. It’s warm & golden, and the huge windows in the studio catch all of it for us to rest in during the day. It makes it easy to look forward to coming in for the morning, and makes me feel incredibly lucky :)
What part of each morning do you look forward to?
My next favourite thing to the studio’s sunlight is having tea & a muffin while
I’m working- I looove having a sweet little snack!
Oooh – I love these peeks!! And I envy your prairie sunlight….I miss the Calgary days of that, from a few years back – it’s so darn rainy and grey, here!! :(
I love waking up early on weekends when the house is quiet because everyone is still asleep. I love the dull glow of the early morning sun sprinkling in through the windows and how still everything is. That is a time for productivity. It is a wonderful time. Your studio looks lovely.
I love great lighting, it’s one of my weaknesses. Hope you have an amazing day! XO
I love these photos – they are so quiet and peaceful. Make me want to be creative!
I am NOT a morning person. At all. Ever. I work at home and mostly try to sleep in for as long as humanly possible, and then sort of drag myself through the apartment until I sit down at my desk and read through a few blog posts. But your morning routine sounds quite lovely. I wish I was as excited to go to work as you!
yesss. the golden light during prairie winters is so magical. i quite love it.
Awww, that sounds so lovely. My favorite part of the morning is sitting on my couch alone, in the quiet stillness, enjoying a fresh hot cup of coffee.
It seems so peaceful and lovely in there. What I would do for a room like that.
It sounds silly, but I look forward to breakfast. Some days that’s the only thing that gets me out of bed or through a workout. :) I miss the cold and the snow of the prairies!
puppy snuggles of course!
If I have no where to be for awhile, I look forward to eating a good bowl of cereal and chilling out for a bit. Collecting my thoughts. I really like doing that.
Definitely jealous of your prairie sun. Just over the border in NWOntario all we get are clouds. Dreary, grey clouds; though they do make for some gorgeous sunsets!
Love the dinosaurs, too cute!
Coffee. Definitely my favourite part of the morning…especially when I wake up early enough to make a pot at home and enjoy before I head out for the day.
I love the quiet of mornings. As the sun is drenching everything in light, it seems like everything is a little more still and serene. I love slowly drinking my tea in the silence.
P.S. These pictures are perfecto.
I look forward to when my two older girls are at school, and I can hang out with girlie #3. My little Emily.
Since I started working as a pastry chef, I have to get up really really early and my favourite thing about mornings is the 20 minutes I spent in the car, driving to work. There are hardly any other cars on the road at that time of the day and it’s just me, my cup of coffee and the radio. Perfect to slowly “wake up” and get ready for the day…
I’m SO not a morning person but I start work at 7:45, so my favourite part of the morning is the part where I have my coffee.
Cute! I’m not a morning person but weird thing is I really want to be a morning person. I’m still working on it! I love coming in to just check emails and read some blogs first before I start working.
My favourite part of the morning is going in to get Topher out of his crib! He always has the biggest grins in the morning, and he usually greets me with a cheery “HI MAMA!” or a “MORNING MAMA!” before reaching out for me. It’s adorable :)
I’m not good at catching mornings. I should get better at it.
Whatever time I get up I look forward to my juice & getting Lola up. She’s always so happy to see me in the morning/early afternoon that it’s usually a bit of motivation to get out of bed! ;)
I have first period off this year for my preparatory period and I normally favor a break later in the day; however, I’ve loved having 90 minutes of quiet to start my day, sip my coffee and listen to Pandora while working before the craziness of kids. My all time favorite part of the morning, however, is the fact that Harry cat knows when I’m about to get up and nudges me awake for some pets before I have to get ready.
You’re making me completely jealous of where you live, I think I’m going to have to visit. I love waking up in the winter months looking out the window and seeing a clean sheet of snow laying across the yard – so beautiful! :P
She’s making ME jealous and I live in the same city!!!!
