Dreaming of Last Year’s Fair
These are some of my favourite moments from my trip to the Minnesota State Fair with Mandy, Lisa & Nora last year. It was one of the best weekends of the past year- when I needed to put the “getting to know you” of new jobs and new friends aside for a weekend to just be known, comfortable and loved with good friends.
Those times are so wonderful- I hope that you’ve spent some time with summer with people who know all your oldest stories & will laugh with you until your cheeks hurt from smiling. If you haven’t? It’s not quite September yet :)
Hard to believe it was a year ago, isn’t it? And why o why don’t we all live closer? I miss you dearly, friend. <3
I love the last one with the leaf! Beautiful!
Aw, these photos make me miss you girls even more! That was such a fun weekend last year. You were definitely missed this year!
I find myself getting nostalgic about so many things a lot lately, for some reason. I’ve actually never been to a full blown fair even though Texas has its fair share of them!
Love this – that’s definitely what this past weekend was for me. We really missed you though and I thought about you often!
Awww, what wonderful pictures! I did not know that picture of you on your blog is at the MN State Fair! Love it!!!
Sharing time with people that you hold dear are the best kind of memories made. Period.
One thing that most of my favorite memories have in common is friends…Sharing moments with people with whom I share a mutual love makes all the difference.
I recognized Mandy & Nora right away – and became jealous right away. :)
I love going to the fair! I also love catching up with old friends…we just moved earlier this year and I find that being “known” is so much more important than I ever thought. It’s nice to be around old friends for a bit and just remember what it’s like to be familiar…like an old book re-read so many times…Though it is sometimes fun to start over in a new place and make new relationships that will one day become good, old friends too! Lovely reminder, thank you!
