Catching Up

I’m always amazed by how much time can fly by on my blog without an update on how things in my life are going, and I thought it’s about time for a little update…

And even though I look like I will, I promise I won’t deliver this update by breaking into song ;)

Happy to be fully healed from adding the background into my sleeve and I love how the purple adds so much movement to it. I haven’t taken nice photos of it yet, but the picture above should give you an idea.

Working with a great group of clients. I’ve just started my next round of blog design clients and I’m excited to show you the results of my projects, it’s been so long since I shared a design! I’m working with some amazing small business people and bloggers who all have very different styles, which has been stretching me in the best ways.

A notorious bookworm. It’s been a long time since I’ve been really drawn into a book, mostly because I don’t give myself lots of time to just read. I’ve been changing that this month, and I’m head over heels. Later this week I’ll be sharing some of the books I’ve been enjoying, and I hope you let me know what you’ve been loving too!

A little obsessed with my new glasses. They’re a little geek chic and a little cat eye, and after a long search I think they’re my perfect pair. Every time I put them on I get a little thrill.

Counting down the days until my Amber moves to Winnipeg. We’ve been scheming like crazy in the past month, and now it’s  the final stretch- 11 days until one of my oldest, closest friends and I live in the same city! We’re used to seeing each other every 6-12 months, and now we’ll be able to see each other every day. Fact: When I think about it I can’t help but do a little chair dance of joy.

In love with summer. I’m usually not one for the heat, but this summer has been amazing. I’ve been going a few long walks a day with Jesse & the puppies, getting together with my family for good food in the evenings, and I’m learning how to balance all the parts of my life so I feel like I’m giving a lot to my marriage & a lot to my business at the same time. It’s a balancing act, but it’s a really fun one to navigate.

How have you been doing?
