Analog 52: Week Six
What’s Analog 52? Every Sunday this year I’m posting photos from my sweet week captured with my little Diana+F. I’m learning to be at home with analog in a digital age, and I’m loving every minute of it- the good, bad, and even the ugly. :)
For the next little while I’m taking my Diana on the road to explore my city and show you the neighbourhood. This isn’t a great example of composition but it has one of my first cool film effects from starting the roll a litte too early- I love the burnt edge! I’ve been shooting with 400 speed film lately and I’m going to be switching to 200 soon, I’m curious to see what the difference is and to switch over to medium format again once I have a few more rolls worth of confidence under my belt.
This is a moment from downtown Winnipeg, facing The Hudson’s Bay company on my way to lunch with Leigh-Ann this week. It has a warm, daydreamy tilt shift look to it- I can’t wait to see the rest of my city through this lens.
Lovely photo! PS Your arm is looking AMAZING!
Lovely shot! I might start my ‘Coffee Sundays’ posts! Thanks for the inspiration.
Love this shot!! :)
I haven’t been to Winnipeg since I was 15, but I totally remember that area! And the burnt edge on the photo is so rad. Love the pic Kyla! xo
Makes me homesick for Winnipeg!
Oooh, love that picture!
Oooh that’s so close to my work!
oh that day ;)
(and LOL at my Mom, above)
Nice pic of Winnipeg Kyla! Let me guess, you’re going to meet Leigh-Ann at BURRITO DEL RIO? Is this not a good guess??
Momma
Kyla, I love this picture! It’s old meets new! I can’t wait for others! :)
Neat!
Thats a few blocks from where I work on Fort and Broadway…
The photo really soften the edges of Winnipeg’s spring ‘crust’ :)
This is a great project idea! I’m so excited to see all the shots you take in the coming weeks! I think that the burnt edge is such a cool effect – I’m a fan of all those little imperfections and details that are achievable only through the use of film! Keep the good work coming!
That’s a gorgeous picture! I love this project of yours. :D And I love the burnt edge!!!
