I’ve been in a really introspective and quiet place for the past few days, and as a blogger that puts me in an odd situation- but I’m working on it. And the reading & bubble baths? They really didn’t hurt :)
Did you fit in some relaxation this weekend?
I am drooling over that cinnamon bun!
You should try ‘belong to me’ its by the same author as ‘love walked in’ i really liked it, i can even send it to you, or maybe my sister can because i think i leant it to her! (meaning its only a few blocks from you, as opposed to provinces). im back in a few weeks maybe we can grab another quick coffee. :)
I actually did fit in a little relaxation. Usually on Sundays, Husband and I go to his great-grandma’s for lunch, but I decided to do something for myself that day. So, he went to his great-grandma’s, and I took a drive to the grocery store. I bought some healthy food to get me through the week, and I finished my trip with a pumpkin spice latte at Starbucks. Even though I was still doing chores (grocery shopping), it was very relaxing for me to step out of my normal routine for a bit. :)
Sounds like a lovely weekend. :)
I totally took a bubble bath and read on Friday night! Johnson & Johnson’s bedtime baby bubble bath or something like that. Whatever, I don’t care if it’s for babies. It smells so good.
That’s about it for the relaxing. I kind of don’t know how…
love walked in is one of my very favourite books. i’ve read it three times! i absolutely love it.
Will you please come to my house and bake me cinnamon roles? Those look divine.
The cinnamon rolls look amazing! I love those things. Sounds like a great weekend.
Sounds like the perfect relaxing weekend. That cinnamon bun looks YUMMY!
I spent 2 days of my weekend with my nephew, which was great. The first day he was Mr. Crabbypants, making me question any decision to ever have kids. The second day? He was the most joyful, funny kid ever and made me want to have a child RIGHTNOW! Kids are funny. ;)
Sounds wonderful. We always try to fit so much into our weekends, but this one was also pretty quiet for me. Most of it was spent just enjoying the company of my boyfriend and our friends. I didn’t even leave the house on Saturday which is completely foreign for me!
I don’t think I relax enough overall. :/ But I still had a lot of fun!
Wow! You’re weekend sounded like the quiet perfect little weekend I’ve beening meaning to have. I’ve been running around everywhere trying to do everything with everyone. It’s my Senior Year but I think here in a few weekends I’ll try to have some me time! Have a wonderful week (:
<3
Sometimes it seems like my weekends are twice as stressful as my work week. Too many family obligations! Everyone expects me to be everywhere and I just want to hang out at home, geez haha. I just bought two new kinds of Stash tea though, that should make up for a lack of relaxation!
Mmmm, sour patch kids! My favorite!
I’ve had cinnamon buns on the mind for a few days now, and seeing an actual picture of one may hasten the actual moment of getting some to eat. Yumm!
Sounds like a delightful weekend to me! ;-) I did a lot of sanding on a piece of vintage furniture I bought so I could use a bubble bath at this point! ;-) hehe!
So excited you’re reading Love Walked In! I had a fabulous weekend and despite all my plans it was very relaxing! :)
Gorgeous photos!
I’m having a giveaway over on my blog if you want to enter:

Grad school has been keeping me so busy, I couldn’t help but do some relaxing this weekend. So maybe I spent a little too much time on the couch doing nothing, but maybe that’s exactly what I needed.
Your weekend sounds lovely. Speaking of stamps, I need to go buy some haha. Thanks for the reminder.
O my God, I love Bones, too. I just recently started watching it- like last month- and I’ve already watched seasons 1-4 (that’s all that’s on netflix instant play) and am re-watching them while waiting for season 5 on dvd. haha. I just fined her logistic/reasonable way of looking at things to be such a relaxing, calming way from how my brain works… and then of course there is Booth. Swoon. ha.
I thought about taking a bath all weekend and I never did. BUT I did watch three Woody Allen/Mia Farrow movies and cuddled my dog.
There’s nothing wrong with a little introspection, so long as it’s accompanied by something warm (baths) and sweet (buns). Seems like you’re in good hands. =) My weekend was more hustle than low key, though I did manage some downtime with my honey on the couch.
Sounds like you had a fantastic weekend! Mine was pretty hectic but we are all moved in to the new house now so I’m super excited about that.
Hopefully the coming weekends will be a little quieter and I can get started on my fall/winter soup making.
I blogged, which I guess counts for indulgence these days. I ran errands and bought some hour supplies. I stayed in in pjs all Sunday, reading and watching TV. That was my favorite part of the weekend. Next time bubble bath for sure! :)
What a lovely weekend!!!
I had a great weekend, busy, but fantastic. I am actually really exhausted and going into a full week and another full weekend ahead. I mean, I guess I am growing up and this is a glimpse of the “real world”. :)
Again, looking forward to seeing your lovely etsy shop!!!!
Did you know that I have one as well?
:)
Hi Kyla, sorry I haven’t been around in a while but life has been busy over here. :) Your weekend sounds heavenly and I am pretty sure that things will calm down for us again soon, so that I can let weekends be weekends again. :)
How much do you love “Bones”? I thought I watched all the seasons via Netflix, but I think I got confused somewhere because I was really confused during the last on-air season, with details I’d apparently missed from episodes that came before. So I’m confused. But I still love it.
Looking forward to all your Etsy shop has to offer!
Sounds like a pretty much perfect weekend! I’m a little jealous.
I LOVE BONES! I want Booth and Bones to be together forever. New season starts soon!
We’ve actually been working out the math to see if we can catch up in time. If we watch three episodes a day, it would be possible…. lol but probably not as much fun as catching up with the new season when we get there :)
Yes! I watched The Office Season 3 & I started watching Friday Night Lights (I’m obsessed!). It was heaven.
lovely. only thing you missed is partying with me here in Boston…one day, it’ll happen!
Sounds lovely! I got just a little in… Saturday afternoon/evening was my only time in between two visitors so I spent the afternoon with my sweetie and the evening out with friends. Lovely time! Otherwise… there were farmers markets and sushi… street festivals and new scarves :)
Mmmm, that cinnamon bun looks delicious!
PS What’s that black thing in the second picture?
That’s my wacom tablet, I use it for all of my design work :)
that sounds like an amazing weekend…I need to have on of those very soon!
I wish I could have swapped weekends with you… I worked both Friday and Saturday and did not get as much relaxation as I wish I had… but your weekend sounds lovely and a little peace and quiet is always welcome.
Even though I didn’t do much this weekend I am still facing Monday morning feeling EXHAUSTED. Probably those 18 miles I ran yesterday!
I want to read that book so bad and that cinnamon bun looks delicious :-)
Your weekend sounds adorable! Mine was spent working (boo-urns), but I did manage to fit in some R n’ R time, specifically in the form of Jersey Shore and vegan pasta. Haha classy, I know.
A little introspection never hurt anyone :) I kind of spent my weekend in a similar mode after Friday night and it is definitely glorious.
The cinnamon rolls look delightful.
And I really need to read that book; I hear so many wonderful things about it!
I love, love love Love Walked In
And Bones.
And cinnamon rolls.
And puppies.
Basically you and I could have spent the weekend together in homebody bliss.
A little quiet is a good thing. I used my Saturday for excitement and took my Sunday for me time. It was perfect.
I think you weekend sounds all sort of lovely. I go through phases where I’m completely inrospective and quiet as well. I think its incredibly importatnt to have those times, we share a lot of ourselves on daily basis, somtimes its nice to just not share. Also excited to see photos for your up coming Etsy shop!
I would LOVE to have a weekend like that sometime sooooon!
Sounds like a lovely fall weekend.
Your weekend sounds fabulous! I find that I need to have periods of quiet & introspection every couple of weeks (or more frequently, depending on what’s going on in my life). As an introvert, that’s how I recharge so I can sort of come off as an extrovert when need be!
My weekend wasn’t super relaxing, but it was a lot of fun! Yesterday was pretty low key since I wasn’t feel well after my run, though, so I definitely layed on my reading chair quite a bit!!
I hope you are enjoying Love Walked In! Love that book!
